Born in Candelaria, Quezon to a Fenno-Swedish father and a Filipino-Spanish mother, Manalo earned her bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation in Lucena, Quezon. Manalo has yet to meet her father.

As an entrepreneur, Manalo owns several businesses including two food businesses in Australia namely Cafe Noun and Call Me Harris. She and her business partner John Michael Hilton introduced the Australian brand Koomi Natural Drinking Yogurt to the Philippines.
