  2. He was 27 years older than his wife Freida C. Eike Cornelius, who is originally from Norway. They lived in Spokane, Washington, USA with their four children.
  3. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF), which was formed in Baltimore, Maryland, USA on April 26, 1819. 
  4. In the 1880s, he lived in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County. He later moved to Spokane where he met Freida while she was working as a maid. He was a harness maker with a shop in Spokane.
  5. In 1907, he and Freida got married.
  6. In 1908, Freida gave birth to their son Joseph F. Cornelius.
  7. In 1917, Freida gave birth to their son Elmer Morand Cornelius.
  8. In 1918, Freida gave birth to their daughter Eleanor Cornelius.
  9. In 1919, Freida gave birth to their son Stanley Robert Cornelius.
  10. In 1926, he died in Spokane at the age of 69.
