For the first time, Greece won the Eurovision Song Contest, which was formed in 1950. Representing the country is “My Number One”, which was recorded by Helena Paparizou and produced by Christos Dantis.
“My Number One”
Danis wrote lyrics of “My Number One” with Natalia Germanou and composed the music with Manolis Psaltakis. The song casts elements of traditional Greek music in a contemporary dance music.
In May 2003, Dantis signed with Sony Music Greece. Born in Athens, Greece, he turned 38 on September 24, 2004.
On January 31, 2005, Paparizou turned 23. Born in Borås, Västergötland, Sweden to Greek parents Georgios Paparizos and Efrosynë “Froso” Paparizou, Helena grew up in Örgryte, Gothenburg, Sweden.
