ABS-CBN Corporation is a media company based in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Its name stands for Alto Broadcasting System (ABS) and Chronicle Broadcasting Network (CBN).
The company’s record label Star Music was founded on February 20, 1995. The label is a member of the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI).
“Pure Heart”
On August 1, 2005, Star Music released Gary Valenciano‘s album “Pure Heart”. It has two English songs and eight Tagalog songs.

Gary Valenciano
Professionally known as Gary Valenciano, Edgardo Jose Santiago Valenciano was born in Santa Mesa, Manila, Metro Manila to Vicente Calacas Valenciano and Grimilda Santiago Olmo Valenciano. Vicente is from Camalig, Albay, Philippines and Grimilda is from Arecibo, Puerto Rico, United States.
Grimilda is of Italian descent. She met Vicente in New York City, New York, USA.
Gary and Dayanara Torres starred in the 1995 film “Hataw Na”, which was written and directed by Jose Javier Reyes. Born in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, Torres was Miss International 1992 third runner-up before winning Miss Universe 1993.
In 1998, Valenciano became the first national ambassador of the Philippine office of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). In 2003, he joined the ABS-CBN weekly show “ASAP” as a main host and performer.
