Miss Earth 2004 Priscilla Meirelles de Almeida, 22, of Brazil will crown her successor at the University of the Philippines Theater in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines on October 23, 2005. It will be the fifth edition of the international beauty pageant focused on environmental issues.
Mereilles was crowned at the University of the Philippines Theater on October 24, 2004. Her runner-up was Murielle Celimene of Martinique, who was crowned Miss Air 2004.
Miss Earth was formally launched on April 3, 2001. It was organized by Carousel Productions, an organization based in the Philippines.
