For the first time, Finland won the Eurovision Song Contest, which was founded in 1956. The country was represented by “Hard Rock Hallelujah” by the rock rock band Lordi.
Lordi
Professionally known as Mr. Lordi, Tomi Petteri Putaansuu is the lead singer of the band. He wrote the song with his Lordi bandmates Leena Maria “Miss Awa” Piesa, Jussi “Mr. Amen” Sydänmaa, Nick “Mr. Kalma” Hurme and Sampsa “Mr. Kita” Astala.
In 1992, Mr. Lordi formed Lordi. The members of band are known for the monster masks they wear and the horror elements they use in their music videos and concerts.
On February 15, 2006, Mr. Lordi turned 32. He was born in Rovaniemi, Lapland, Finland, which is around 827 kilometers away from Helsinki.
