Directed by Allen Coulter, the mystery drama film “Hollywoodland” made its world premiere in Venice, Italy on August 31, 2006. It was released theatrically in the United States on September 8, 2006.
Also on September 8, 2006, Jive Records and Zomba released “FutureSex/LoveSounds“. It is NSYNC member Justin Timberlake‘s second studio album as a solo artist.
“Hollywoodland”
Written by Paul Bernbaum, the story of “Hollywoodland” presents a fictionalized account of the circumstances surrounding the death of Hollywood actor George Reeves, who played the title character in the television series “Adventures of Superman” from 1952 to 1958. On June 16, 1959, Reeves died of a gunshot wound to the head in his residence in Benedict Canyon, Los Angeles, California, USA.
In “Hollywoodland”, Reeves is played by Ben Affleck. The film also stars Diane Lane as Toni Mannix, Bob Haskins as Eddie Mannix, Molly Parker as Laurie Simo, Zach Mills as Evan Simo, Adrien Brody as Louis Simo and Veronica Watt as Rita Hayworth.
Brody and Hayworth were born in New York City, New York, USA. So was Timberlake’s NSYNC bandmate Joey Fatone.
“FutureSex/LoveSound“
NSYC was formed in Orlando, Florida, USA in 1995. Aside from Timberlake and Fatone, the boy band has three other members namely JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass.
On July 24, 2001, Jive Records released NSYNC’s fourth studio album “Celebrity”. On November 2, 2002, the same label released Timberlake’s debut studio album “Justified”.
Timberlake’s second studio album has 12 songs, which he recorded from November 2005 to June 2006. New York City native Terrence Richardson shot the album’s artworks.
