Alexandra Braun of Venezuela was crowned Miss Earth 2005 at the University of the Philippines Theater in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines on October 23, 2005. She is the first Miss Earth from Venezuela.
One year later, Braun went back to the Philippines and crowned Hil Yesenia Hernández Escobar as the next Miss Earth. The latter is the first beauty queen from Chile to win the international beauty pageant.
