Nokuthula Sithole was crowned Miss South Africa 2005 at the Sun City Superbowl in Sun City, Moses Kotane, North West, South Africa on December 10, 2005. A year later, she went back to the same venue and crowned Megan Coleman as the next Miss South Africa.

Sithole was unplaced when she represented South Africa at Miss World 2006 at the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, Poland on September 30, 2006. Coleman will represent South Africa at Miss World 2007.
