“Love Conquers All” was theatrically released in Malaysia on December 21, 2006. The Malaysian film was screened at the Pusan International Film Festival in Busan, South Korea on October 13, 2006 and at the Tokyo International Film Festival in Tokyo, Japan on October 24, 2006.
Rock Records released “Superman” on December 27, 2006. It is Gary Chaw‘s second album.
“Love Conquers All”
In “Love Conquers All”, Coral Ong Li Whei‘s character Ping moves from Penang, Malaysia to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to work with her aunt. In the capital city of the country, Ping meets John, played by Stephan Chua Jyh Shyan, and falls in love with him while she still has a boyfriend in Penang.
In 2007, the film will be screened in film festivals in Argentina, Hong Kong and the Netherlands. It was written in directed by Tan Chui Mui, who graduated from Multimedia University, Malaysia in Cyberjaya, Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia in 2002.
Tan was born in Sungai Ular, Kuantan, Malaysia. Her father is from Kinmen, Taiwan.
“Superman”
Born in Kota Belud, Sabah, Malaysia, Chaw turned 27 on July 9, 2006. He studied engineering at the University of Auckland in Auckland, New Zealand.
On January 27, 2006, Rock Records released Chaw’s first album “Blue“. It has 10 original songs and a cover of the Mandarin version of Karyn White‘s 1989 song “Superwoman”.
Chaw’s second album has 10 songs. He composed all of them.
