Miss Earth 2006 Hil Yesenia Hernández Escobar, 22, of Chile will crown her successor at the University of the Philippines Theater in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines on November 11, 2007. It will be the seventh edition of the international beauty pageant focused on environmental issues.
Hernandez was crowned at the National Museum in Manila, Metro Manila on November 26, 2006. Her runner-up was Amruta Patki of India, who was crowned Miss Air 2006.
Miss Earth was formally launched on April 3, 2001. It was organized by Carousel Productions, an organization based in the Philippines.
