Megan Kate Coleman was crowned Miss South Africa 2007 at the Sun City Superbowl in Sun City, Moses Kotane, North West, South Africa on December 9, 2006. She competed against 24 other candidates.

Representing South Africa, Coleman competed against 76 other Miss Universe 2007 candidates at the National Auditorium in Mexico City, Mexico on May 28, 2007 and against 105 other Miss World 2007 candidates at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China on December 1, 2007. She was unplaced at both competitions.

A week later, Coleman went back to the Sun City Superbowl and crowned Tansey Coetzee as the next Miss South Africa. The latter will represent South Africa at Miss Universe 2008 and Miss World 2008.
