Jorge Masvidal, 23, of Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States has made his Crazy Horse Fights debut. The Cuban-Peruvian-American mixed martial artist previously competed in Absolute Fighting Championship, BodogFIGHT and Strikeforce.

Featuring five MMA matches, a CHF event was held in Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, Florida on December 11, 2007. The second match was a lightweight bout between Masvidal and his fellow Florida resident Brant Rose.

Referee Frank Gentile stopped the fight after 56 seconds in the first round. Masvidal defeated Rose via technical knockout via punches.

The victory improved Masvidal’s professional MMA record to 13 wins and 2 losses. On the other hand, Rose now has 2 wins and 4 losses.

Rose made his professional MMA debut on April 4, 2007. He previously competed in Bourbon Street Brawl and Chicago Cage Fight.

Born and raised in Miami, Masvidal attended St. Brendan High School in Westchester, Miami-Dade County. While in high school, he competed in wrestling but he failed to stay eligible because of his grades.

Masvidal is 5’11” tall. He is a former welterweight.

On May 24, 2003, Masvidal made his professional MMA debut. On June 24, 2006, he was crowned the new AFC Welterweight Champion in Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, Florida.
