Abbey Curran of Davenport, Scott County, Iowa, United States was 20 years old when she won Miss Iowa USA 2008 at the Bridge View Center in Ottumwa, Wapello County, Iowa on November 24, 2007. She competed against 23 other candidates.

Curran is 5’5″ tall. She has cerebral palsy.

On April 11, 2008, Curran represented Iowa at Miss USA 2008 and competed against 50 other candidates at The AXIS in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. She was unplaced but made history as the first person with disability to compete in Miss USA.

Seven months later, Curran went back to Ottumwa and crowned Chelsea Lynn Gauger of Ames, Story County, Iowa as the next Miss Iowa USA. The latter will represent Iowa at Miss USA 2009.
