Karla Henry of the Philippines was crowned Miss Earth 2009 at the Clark Expo Ampitheater in Angeles City, Philippines on November 9, 2008. She competed against 84 other candidates.

After one year, Henry went to Boracay, Malay, Aklan, Philippines and crowned Larisa Ramos of Brazil as the next Miss Earth. The latter competed against 79 other candidates.
