Chutima Durongdej of Bangkok, Thailand won Miss Thailand Universe 2009 at the Sofitel Centara Grand in Bangkok on March 28, 2009. She competed against 43 other candidates.
On August 23, 2009, Durongdej represented Thailand at Miss Universe 2009 and competed against 82 other candidates at the Imperial Ballroom on the Atlantis Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas. She was unplaced but she won the Miss Photogenic award.

Miss Thailand Universe 2010
On March 20, 2010, Durongdej will go back to the Sofitel Centara Grand in Bangkok to crown her successor. It is the 11th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Thailand’s Miss Universe candidate.
