German Luis Clerici was an Argentine man who lived in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas, United States. The city was named after Wichita people.

Founded in 1868, Wichita was incorporated in 1870. The city is home to Friends University, the Kansas Health Science University–Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine, Newman University, the University of Kansas, Wichita State University and Wichita Technical Institute.

Born in Wichita, Carl Brewer turned 53 on March 8, 2010. He has been the mayor of the city since April 10, 2007.

  • On February 6, 2010, a woman walking on a rural road found him dead in a culvert east of Augusta, Butler County, Kansas. He was 19.
