Fonthip Watcharatrakul (ฝนทิพย์ วัชรตระกูล) grew up in Bang Bo, Samut Prakan, Thailand. She was born in Samut Prakan to Watcharapon Watcharatrakul and Daothip Watcharatrakul.
On March 20, 2010, Fonthip competed against 43 other candidates at Miss Thailand Universe 2010 at the Sofitel Centara Grand Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. She won the title.
On July 19, 2020, Fonthip turned 20. On August 23, 2010, she represented Thailand at Miss Universe 2010 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States where she competed against 82 other candidates.
Fonthip was unplaced. However, she won the Miss Photogenic and Best National Costume awards.
On March 26, 2011, Fonthip went back to Bangkok and crowned Chonburi, Thailand’s Chanyasorn Sakornchan as the next Miss Thailand Universe. The latter will represent the country at Miss Universe 2011.
