The Foo Fighters wanted to avoid the artificiality of digital recording while working on “Wasting Light”. The album was recorded from September 6, 2010 to December 21, 2010 in the garage of Dave Grohl‘s residence in Encino, California.
Grohl was born in Warren, Ohio, USA, which is around 2,402 miles away from Encino. On January 14, 2010, he turned 41.
