“Midnight in Paris” hit theaters in Spain on May 13, 2011 and in the United States on May 20, 2011. It is a fantasy comedy film written and directed by Woody Allen, a native of New York City, New York, USA.
Also on May 20, 2011, Sony Music Indonesia released “Echoes“. It is the fifth international studio album of Anggun Cipta Sasmi, who is mononymously known as Anggun.
“Midnight in Paris”
Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams played a couple in David Dobkin’s 2005 romantic comedy film “Wedding Crashers”. In “Midnight in Paris”, the two actors’ characters are also a couple named Gil Pender and Inez.
Gil is a screenwriter and aspiring novelist and Inez is his materialistic fiancée. In 2010, they spend a vacation in Paris, France with her wealthy parents John and Helen, played by Kurt Fuller and Mimi Kennedy, respectively.
Audrey Fleurot and Guillame Gouix appear in the film as partygoers. Both actors were born in France.
Born in London, Ontario, Canada, McAdams turned 32 on November 17, 2010. Born in Dallas, Texas, USA, Wilson turned 42 on November 18, 2010.
On May 11, 2011, “Midnight in Paris” premiered at the 64th Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France. Also in the cast are Adrien Brody, David Lowe, Kathy Bates, Marion Cotillard, Michael Sheen and Tom Hiddleston.
“Echoes”
Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, Anggun turned 37 on April 29, 2011. In 1996, she met Chalon-sur-Saône, France’s Florent Pagny, who became her mentor.
Before “Echoes”, Anggun released four international studio albums. These were “Snow on the Sahara” in 1997, “Chrysalis” in 2000, “Luminescence” in 2005 and “Elevation” in 2008.
Anggun produced and co-wrote all original material for “Echoes”. She made the album in two production teams.
The first team was with Gioacchino Maurici and Pierre Jaconelli. The second team was with Jean-Pierre Pilot and William Rousseau.
“Echoes” has 15 songs. Warner Music will release the French version of the album in Belgium later this year.
