Carol” hit theaters in the United States on November 20, 2015 and in the United Kingdom on November 27, 2015. It is a historical romantic drama film written by Phyllis Nagy and directed by Todd Haynes.

RCA Records released “Saint Cecilia” on November 23, 2015. It is an extended play by rock band Foo Fighters.

“Carol”

São Paulo, Brazil native Affonso Gonçalves edited “Carol”. He is an alumnus of London Film School in Covent Garden, London, England, U.K. and the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Cate Blanchett plays the title character Carol Aird, a glamorous woman going through a difficult divorce from her husband Harge Aird, played by Kyle Chandler. In 1952, she meets aspiring photographer Therese Belivet, played by Rooney Mara, in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA and falls in love with her.

Played by Jake Lacy, Therese’s boyfriend Richard Semco wants to marry her and wants her to go to France with him but she is unsure about their relationship. He is aware that years ago, Therese had an affair with her friend Abby Gerhard, played by Sarah Paulson.

At one point, Carol invites Therese to her residence in New Jersey, USA. They kiss and make love for the first time on New Year’s Eve.

A love scene in the film was shot in a motel room in Waterloo, Iowa, USA. Also in the cast are Carrie Brownstein, Cory Micharl Smith, John Magaro, Kevin Crowley and Nic Pajic.

Morristown, New Jersey native Edward Lachman was in charge of the cinematography. On March 12, 2014, principal photography started at Eden Park in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.

“Saint Cecilia”

Warren, Ohio native Dave Grohl formed the Foo Fighters in 1994 in Seattle, Washington, USA. On January 14, 2015, he turned 46.

From October 1-11, 2015, the Foo Fighters recorded “Saint Cecilia” at the Saint Cecilia Hotel in Austin, Texas, USA. It was dedicated to the victims of the Islamist terrorist attacks in Paris, France on November 13, 2015.

The EP has five tracks. It was initially intended as a sign of gratitude to the fans of the Foo Fighters.
