Vishnu Raj Menon

Representing India, civil engineer and model Vishnu Raj Menon, 27, is one of the bachelors from around the world who will compete for the Mister World 2019 title. He is 6’1” tall.

Menon speaks English, Hindi, Malyalam, Tamil and Kannada. He was born in Thrissur, Kerala, India on June 10, 1991 to retired Public Works Department engineer Surendran Menon and assistant bank manager Padmavati Menon.

Dubbed the cultural capital of Kerala, Thrissur hosts a colorful temple festival called Thrissur Pooram festival. The city is home to several sports stars including chess prodigy Nihal Sarin, bodybuilders TV Poly and VM Basheer and former football players C. V. Pappachan, I. M. Vijayan and Jo Paul Ancheri.

Vishnu is also into football, cricket, track and field and biking. He is a practitioner of Kalaripayattu, an Indian form of martial arts that is considered by some as the oldest martial art still in existence.

In 2016, Vishnu graduated from MVJ College of Engineering in Bangalore, Karnataka, India with first class marks. He is currently working as a professional fashion model and he wants to transition to acting someday.

On December 11, 2016, Vishnu was crowned Mr. World India 2019 by Rohit Khandelwal, 29, of Hyderabad, Telangana, India in Club Royalty, Mumbai, India. On July 19, 2016, the latter was crowned Mr. World 2016 at Southport Theatre, Floral Hall, The Promenade in Southport, England.

Khandelwal will crown his successor during the Mr. World 2019 coronation night at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines on August 23, 2019. It will be the 10th edition of the international male beauty pageant.

Mr. World 2019 marks the first time the pageant is held in the Philippines. If Vishnu wins the crown, he will be the pageant’s second titleholder from India.
