Juan Pablo Dinho, 25, of Vichadero, Rivera Department, Uruguay is Mr. Real Universe 2016. He is a native of Vichadero, which is also the birthplace of footballers Diego Casas and Jonathan Alvez.

Dinho is a personal trainer who works at a computer supplies company. On weekends, he works as a bartender.

Mr. Real Universe 2016

The Mr. Real Universe 2016 coronation ceremony was supposed to be held in Miami, Florida, United States in October 2016 but it was cancelled due to Hurricane Matthew. On March 5, 2017, the ceremony took place in Lima, Peru with 11 candidates.

Representing Uruguay, Dinho won the crown and the Best Body award. Avery D. Wilson of the U.S. was Best in Fantasy Costume while Raúl Antonio Gónzalez Barradas of Mexico was Best in National Costume.

Runner-up to Dinho was Wilson while Fernando Ezequiel Padin Rodriguez of Puerto Rico was second runner-up. Santiago Bongiovanni of Argentina and Andrés Bechan of Chile were third and fourth runners-up, respectively.

This is the third edition of Mr. Real Universe. On October 17, 2015, Cristobal Alvarez of Chile won the second edition at the Centro de Convenciones of Plaza Rodolfo Baquerizo Moreno in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Runner-up to Alvarez was Tuur Roels of Belgium. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were David Roca of Spain, Mariano Brozincevic of Argentina and Bruno Martins of Portugal.
