Rachel Wyatt of Piedmont, South Carolina, United States was 21 years old when she was crowned Miss South Carolina 2016 on June 25, 2016. She is a student at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina and was crowned Miss Clemson University in 2014.
On September 11, 2016, Wyatt represented South Carolina at Miss America 2017 and competed against 50 other candidates at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA. She was runner-up to Arkansas’s Savvy Shields.
It was the second time Wyatt represented South Carolina in a national beauty pageant. As Miss South Carolina Teen 2012, she competed against 52 other Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2013 candidates at the Linda Chapin Theater at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, USA and won the title.
On June 24, 2017, Wyatt crowned Suzi Roberts as the next Miss South Carolina. The latter will represent South Carolina at Miss America 2018.
