Davao Aguilas Football Club (DAFC) has just signed English-Filipino footballers Phil Younghusband and James Younghusband. The professional football club based in the city of Tagum, Davao del Norte, Philippines.

The contract signing ceremony was held at Makati Shangri-la Hotel in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines on August 2, 2017. The signing which was witnessed by DAFC executives headed by its chairman Jefferson Cheng.

“We are happy to welcome Phil and James into our club,” Cheng stated. “Both are quality players and fine gentlemen that will blend well into our club and represent Davao Aguilas with utmost professionalism,”

“Our fans and supporters are equally excited about our new signings,” Cheng continued. “I am sure they will contribute not only to Davao Aguilas but also help us succeed in our vision to promote and advance Philippine football.”

Phil will turn 30 on August 4, 2017 and James will turn 29 on September 4, 2017. They were born in Surrey, England, United Kingdom to an English father and a Filipino mother.

The siblings are set to see action as Aguilas when they go against Global Cebu FC on September 9, 2017 in Tagum City. Apart from Phil and James, recent signings include Simone Rota, Jason de Jong, Matthew Hartmann and Nick O’ Donnell.
