The mayor of Seoul, South Korea will award various individuals who contributed to the community in time for the Community Restoration Day in Korea on September 7, 2017. One of them is Park Hae Jin, who is known for his role as Yoo Jung in the television series “Cheese in the Trap,” which he will reprise in the film adaptation of the same name.

In total, Park has donated ₩1,700,000,000 ($1,500,000) to rural areas fighting poverty in Seoul since 2011. His donations went to the earthquake relief fund, the Children’s Restoration Hospital fund, and the Sewol Ferry fund, among others.

Park is not limited to community services within South Korea. As a child advocate, he has been donating children’s supplies overseas, as well.

With these charitable endeavors, Park will receive the 2017 Metropolitan Seoul Mayor’s Award for Community Service during a festival to be held in the Metropolitan Seoul, All Kpop reported. Known for personally doing briquette community service, the actor once took the cast and staff of “Man to Man” with him to do briquette and delivery service during filming.

Fans of Park will soon see him in “Four Sons.” The actor will play one of the four title characters in the new drama series set to air on SBS in 2018, according to MK News.

The most recent TV role Park played was Kim Seol Woo in the JTBC series titled “Man to Man.” Prior to this, he played Yoo Kung in the tvN series “Cheese in the Trap.”

In the film adaptation of “Cheese in the Trap,” Park will star with Oh Yeon Seo as Hong Seol and Park Ki Woong as Baek In Ho. Also in the cast are Sandara Park, Yoo In Young, Kim Hyun Jin, Oh Jong Hyuk, Moon Ji Yoon and Na Hye Mi.
