Boxing fans all over the world stopped whatever they were doing on August 26, 2017 to witness the historical boxing superfight between undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and mixed martial artist Conor McGregor. During the fight, the viewership of one of the top porn sites in the world decreased.

Pornhub revealed that its overall traffic in the world decreased during the hours of the fight between Mayweather and McGregor. According to the data the porn site provided to Men’s Health, world traffic was down by 12 percent.

The porn site’s traffic was down by 12 percent in Mayweather’s home country, the United States. In McGregor’s home country, Ireland, the decrease was 11 percent.

However, the viewership of the porn site went back to normal right after the Mayweather-McGregor bout. In fact, traffic was up by 174 percent higher than average levels.

According to Pornhub, viewership among the audience aged 18-14 and 25-34 declined by 26 percent during the Mayweather-McGregor bout. This indicates that millennials were the most interested in the superfight.

After the fight, it was the audience aged 35-44 and 45-54 who flocked back to Pornhub. It appears that millennials were busy either celebrating Mayweather’s victory or mourning McGregor’s loss.

Meanwhile, McGregor was suspended from all sports for two months on medical grounds, Mirror has learned. With the suspension, the Irish prizefighter is banned from any fighter, either boxing or MMA, until at least October 26, 2017 and no physical contact at all until October 11, 2017.

McGregor will take a medical examination at the end of the ban period. On the other hand, Mayweather, who declared his retirement after achieving an immaculate 50-0 record, was not handed a medical suspension.
