Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are set to get married on October 31, 2017. The “Descendants of the Sun” alums should not be surprised if they receive a refrigerator and a washing machine as wedding gift on that day.
“Descendants of the Sun” alum Kim Min Suk mentioned Joong Ki and Hye Kyo when he appeared on the episode of “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator” aired on August 21, 2017. Kim surprised the hosts and chefs of the JTBC cooking variety show when he revealed that he had received a refrigerator as a gift from Joong Ki.
When asked why Joong Ki gave the refrigerator as a gift, Kim explained that his former co-actor gave it to him when he moved from a low-rent apartment to a new place. This was after Kim received his pay for “Descendants of the Sun.”
The “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator” hosts noticed that there were a few dents on the refrigerator. Kim clarified that he did not cause those and implied that the culprit may be “Save Me” actor Lee David, who shares the apartment with him.
The refrigerator was not the only gift Kim received from a former “Descendants of the Sun” co-star. The actor revealed that Hye Kyo had also given him a washing machine.
One of the chefs suggested that Kim should keep the washing machine for the rest of his life. The actor agreed and said he would pass it on through the next generations.
On the episode of the JTBC show, viewers learned that Kim studied culinary arts in college and he has a license for Korean, Japanese and Western cuisines. He once worked part-time as a chef by delivering sashimi first before working in the kitchen.
It will be interesting if Kim shows his cooking skills during the wedding ceremony of the Song-Song couple. It will even be more interesting if Kim gives Joong Ki and Hye Kyo a refrigerator and a washing machine as wedding gifts.
