Sebastian “Basti” Artadi, the vocalist of the Filipino rock band Wolfgang, is in the cast of the historical satire film “Historiographika Errata.” Directed by Richard Somes, the film is one of the entries to the Cinema One Originals Film Festival 2017.
On October 3, 2017, I mentioned the film to Artadi during the press conference for “Full Blast Pinoy Super Bands” on at Bahay Kalinaw in the University of the Philippines- Diliman in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The concert was held on October 20, 2017 at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City, Metro Manila featuring Filipino rock music legends like Artadi.
“It is a period piece,” Artadi said when I asked him to say something about “Historiographika Errata.” “I’m very excited about it, and I don’t know what I can say. But I think everybody should watch it. It’s gonna blow them away.”
Fans of Artadi will not see him sing in “Historiographika Errata.” Also, he is not the only musician in the cast.
Also appearing in “Historiographika Errata” are Kevin Roy and Dong Abay of Filipino rock bands Razorback and Yano, respectively. In one of the four episodes of the film, rock star Jet Pangan will play one of the katipuneros or members of the Philippine revolutionary society in the 1890s.
Like Artadi, Roy and Abay were among the performers during the “Full Blast Pinoy Super Bands” concert. The other performers were Mike Hanopol, Pepe Smith and Wally Gonzales of Juan Dela Cruz and Lolita Carbon of ASIN.
“Historiographika Errata” stars Joem Bascon, Max Eigenmann, Alex Medina, Nathalie Hart and Kean Cipriano. Also in the cast are Jess Mendoza and Rafa Siguion-Reyna.
Watch “Historiographika Errata” from November 13-21, 2017 at Trinoma, Gateway, Cinema 76 and U.P. Cine Adarna in Quezon City, Glorietta in Makati City, Metro Manila and Cinematheque Kalaw in Manila, Metro Manila and from November 22-28, 2017 at the Power Plant Mall in Makati City.
