On the live episode of “It’s Showtime” on Nov. 15, Wednesday, the variety show opened with Jed Madela’s emotional rendition of “See You Again” with the hosts in the background. It was followed by Vice Ganda’s tearful eulogy for the late Franco Hernandez.

“Nalagasan ako ng isang anak,” (I lost one child) Ganda said. Like all the other “It’s Showtime” hosts, he was wearing white.

Ganda’s tearful eulogy was followed by even more emotional eulogies by Hernandez’s fellow #Hashtags members. Hernandez belonged to the second batch of the male group along with Kid Yambao, Bugoy Carino, Maru Delgado, Rayt Carreon, Vitto Marquez, Wilbert Ross and CK Kieron.

In 2015, #Hashtags was introduced as a male group and part of the cast of “It’s Showtime.” The original members were Tom Doromal, Luke Conde, Paulo Angeles, Ryle Paolo Santiago, Jon Lucas, Ronnie Alonte, Mccoy de Leon, Nikko Natividad, Jameson Blake, Jimboy Martin and Zeus Collins.

On Nov. 11, Hernandez died by drowning in Davao Occidental. On the same day, Ganda was in New Zealand for the wedding of their “It’s Showtime” co-host Anne Curtis and longtime boyfriend Erwan Heussaff.
