On Nov. 23, Thursday, Manny Pacquiao took to Facebook to post a photo of Connor McGregor. This led to speculations that the Filipino boxer and the Irish MMA fighter will face each other in a boxing superfight in 2018.

“Happy Thanksgiving!” Pacquiao captioned the photo. “Stay fit my friend. #realboxingmatch #2018.”

McGregor has yet to respond to the post. In his most recent Facebook post, he referred to himself as the “king of the jungle.”

Both Pacquiao and McGregor recently lost in a superfight. The latter lost to Floyd Mayweather Jr. via technical knockout in Round 10 at “The Money Fight” on Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada after 12 rounds of a boxing match in the light-middleweight weight class.

As a professional boxer, McGregor’s record is 0 win and 1 loss. But as an MMA fighter, he currently holds a record of 21 wins and 3 losses and he is the reigning UFC Lightweight Champion.

The only three fighters to defeat McGregor are Artemij Sitenkov, Joseph Duffy and Nate Diaz. Among them, only Diaz had a rematch with McGregor.

On Aug. 20, 2016, the rematch between McGregor and Diaz took place at “UFC 202” in Las Vegas. The former won via majority decision after five five-minute rounds.

On the other hand, Mayweather upgraded his record as an undefeated boxer with 50 wins after defeating McGregor. Among the legendary boxers he defeated was Pacquiao.

On May 2, 2015, Mayweather and Pacquiao faced each other at “The Fight of the Century” at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The former won via unanimous decision after 12 rounds.

On July 2, Pacquiao fought Jeff Horn at “Battle of Brisbane” at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia. After 12 rounds, Horn won via unanimous decision.
