ONE Championship‘s welterweight champion Ben “Funky” Askren of the United States was able to keep his undefeated professional mixed martial arts record intact at “ONE: Immortal Pursuit” at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on November 24, 2017. He now holds a professional MMA record of 18 wins and 0 loss.

Askren ended his match against Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki of Japan via technical knockout via punches in the first round. It only took the American MMA fighter 57 seconds.

Aoki has been on a losing streak since 2016. He lost to former ONE Lightweight World Champion Eduard Folayang on November 11, 2016 at “ONE: Defending Honor” via technical knockout via punches at 0:41 of Round 3.

On May 26, 2017, Aoki lost to Garry Tonon via submission at “ONE: Dynasty of Heroes.” It was a grappling bout.

After “ONE: Immortal Pursuit,” Aoki became the 18th opponent defeated by Askren. The other ONE Championship fighters defeated by Askren were Bakhtiyar Abbasov, Nobutatsu Suzuki, Nikolay Aleksakhin, Agilan Thani and Zebaztian Kadestam.

Askren was an undefeated fighter with 12 wins before he joined ONE Championship. His previous Bellator MMA opponents were Andrey Koreshkov, Karl Amoussou, Douglas Lima, Jay Hieron, Nick Thompson, Lyman Good, Dan Hornbouckle, Ryan Thomas, Matt Delanoit, Mitchell Harris and Josh Flowers.
