Rolando Gabriel “Dy Incredible” Dy, 26, has won his first win under the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). It was a redemptive win for the Filipino fighter after his two consecutive losses under the promotion.
On Nov. 25, Saturday, Dy defeated his Chinese opponent Wuliji Buren via unanimous decision “UFC Fight Night 122: Bisping vs Gastelum.” Their catchweight bout was the second fight in the preliminary card.
Dy made his UFC debut on June 17 at “UFC Fight Night 111: Holm vs Correia at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. Alex Caceres defeated Dy via technical knockout via doctor’s stoppage due to eye injury in the second round.
On Sept. 22, Dy returned to the cage for his second UFC fight. He lost to Teruto Ishihara via unanimous decision at “UFC Fight Night 117: St. Preux vs Okami” at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
After defeating Buren, Dy now holds a record of 9 wins and 6 losses. On the other hand, Buren’s record is now 9 wins and 4 losses.
Born in Parañaque, Philippines, Dy is the son of former WBC World Super Featherweight Champion Rolando Navarrete, 60. Dy made his professional MMA debut on Oct. 15, 2011 at “Nemesis MMA- MMA Wars: New Blood” where defeated Ryan Taclan via technical knockout via punches in the second round.
