Patrik Sjöö represented Sweden at Manhunt International 2016 and competed against 42 other candidates at the OCT Harbour City in Shenzhen, China on October 29, 2016. He emerged as the winner.
On November 27, 2017, Sjöö crowned his successor Truong Ngoc Tinh at the Siam Pavalai Royal Grand Theatre in Bangkok, Thailand. The latter is the first Vietnamese model to win the modeling competition.
Manhunt International was established in 1993 through a partnership between Rosko Dickinson of Australia and Alex Liu of Singapore. They co-own the organization.
