Photos of a teenager went viral because she appears to have tried to look like Angelina Jolie but it went horribly wrong. Reports claim that she underwent several surgeries to resemble the estranged wife of Brad Pitt.
The teenager is Sahar Tabar, 19, of Tehran, Iran. She had had at least 50 surgeries to make herself look like Jolie, according to Saudi-owned pan-Arab television news channel broadcast Al Arabiya.
Tabar is said to have followed a diet for months to maintain her weight at 40 kilograms. She has been posting selfies of herself on Instagram and she has gained almost half a million followers in the mobile, desktop, and Internet-based photo-sharing application and service.
Netizens, however, noticed that instead of resembling Jolie, Tabar looks like a zombie. Others even compare her to the title character in the 2005 animated film “Corpse Bride,” which was voiced by Helena Bonham Carter.
The “Corpse Bride” title character’s husband is Victor Van Dort, which was voiced by Jolie’s “The Tourist” co-star Johnny Depp. The animated film was directed by Tim Burton and Mike Johnson.
Jolie has yet to comment on Tabar’s photos. Also, the reports about the Iranian teenager’s surgeries have yet to be confirmed so it is possible that she was just wearing either makeup or prosthesis in the photos that went viral.
Meanwhile, Jolie recently executive produced a Canadian-Irish-Luxembourgian animated film titled “The Breadwinner,” which was based on Deborah Ellis’ novel of the same name. The film will have its Irish premiere on Feb. 22, 2018 at Cineworld Dublin in Dublin, Ireland, according to Independent.
“The Breadwinner” is about Parvana, a girl in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan who has to dress as a boy so she can work to support her mother and sister after her father was unjustly arrested. Watch the trailer here:
