To go to a foreign land to represent your country in an international competition is a tough task in itself and to do this while you are a teenager makes it even tougher. Goran Mishoski, 17, of Macedonia is someone who knows exactly how it feels like to take on such a tough task at a very young age.

Mishoski was one of the 49 candidates who competed at Mister Ocean 2017. Representing Macedonia, he was the youngest candidate of the inaugural edition of the international male beauty pageant hosted by Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

“I was the youngest there,” Mishoski said in a statement exclusively obtained by CONAN Daily. “We had fun, made a strong friendship and had a great time visiting amazing places.”

Mister Ocean 2017 allowed Mishoski to experience several things for the first time such as strutting down the catwalk. He was not able to bring home the crown but it was all worth it as he gained new friends including Mister Serbia Marco Markovic, Mister Montenegro Marko Rogac and Mister Bosnia and Herzegovina Ermin Poturak.

It was Poturak who won the Mister Ocean 2017 title while Rogac was the first runner-up. Moreover, Poturak won the Mister Photogenic award with Rogac and Mister Nepal Bibek Khadka as the first and second runners-up in the special award.

Like Markovic, Mishoski did not make it to the semi-finals and did not win any of the special awards but Macedonia has to be very proud of the teenager. Currently, Mishoski is in high school and with what he had accomplished at a very young age, who knows, he might win a prestigious beauty pageant next time.
