Representing Venezuela, Gabriel Correa, 28, won Mister Supranational 2017 in Krynica-Zdrój, Poland on December 2, 2017. He is the second titleholder of the male beauty pageant following Diego Garcy of Mexico.
Hailing from Maracay, the capital of Venezuelan state Aragua, Correa bested 33 other candidates. Instead of Garcy, it was Miss Supranational 2017 Jenny Kim of Korea who awarded Correa’s sash as Mister Supranational 2017.
Prior to the final gala, the 34 Mister Supranational 2017 candidates visited Slovakia. At Horizont Resort in Stará Lesná, Slovakia, they walked in elegant suits, which they had personally chosen.
From 34 candidates, 20 quarter-finalists were chosen based on the preliminary scores on swimwear, evening wear, interviews, star quality and discipline/behavior. During the final gala, the quarter-finalists’ scores were reset to zero.
