Photos of Sahar Tabar, 19, of Tehran, Iran have spread like wild fire with reports claiming that she was trying to look like Angelina Jolie. Recently, more reports are claiming that the teenager has admitted the truth behind the photos.

Tabar’s official Instagram account is now private and netizens have to send a request and be approved if they wish to follow the account. But the controversial teenager was said to have used another Instagram account, which is no longer available online, to clarify things.

“Hello relatively dear followers, the picture that you’re scrutinizing, even though I didn’t like it, I kept it in,” Tabar wrote in the post, according to the online fact-checking website Snopes. “I must say I only had (little) surgery, not 50 surgeries, and foreign sites and channels were very biased in the way they talked about my photos. I thought these people are probably living in the 18th century and they haven’t seen or heard of technology or makeup and they are really surprised.”

If this was really written by Tabar, it appeared that she had mixed both technology and makeup to come up with the caricatures of Jolie. Even without using prosthesis, she could have used makeup to resemble the Academy Award winner and photoshopped her photos to make them look bizarre.

In the bizarre-looking photos, Tabar’s her lips appear to be different sizes and her cheekbones and nose look like they are in different places. Jolie has yet to comment on the viral photos.

Either the estranged wife of Brad Pitt has not heard of it yet or she is already aware of the controversy but does not find it worthy of her comments. Here is a compilation of Tabar’s Instagram videos:
