Directed by Steven Spielberg, “The Post” had a limited release in the United States on Dec. 22, Friday, in the United States. It stars Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks as Ben Bradlee and Kay Graham, respectively.

Written by Liz Hannah and Josh Singer, “The Post” is about The Washington Post and The New York Times journalists who published the Pentagon Papers about the involvement of the U.S. government during the Vietnam War in the 1970s. Here are 13 interesting co-actors of Streep and Hanks in the historical drama political thriller:

  1. Sarah Paulson, 43, as Tony Bradlee

Paulson has been in a relationship with Holland Taylor since 2015. From 2004 to 2009, the former dated Cherry Jones.

Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Harlem, New York, Peña graduated from Tisch School of the Arts. In an interview with Remezcla, she said everyone in “The Post” treated her like she was part of the main cast and revealed that she has a scene with Streep in the film.

Davies was in a commercial campaign for American Express with Tina Fey. The former is the daughter of soccer player Sean Davies and Christina Davies.

Georgiadis was born in West Africa to Ghanaian and Greek parents but his family moved to Brooklyn ​when he was six years old. He auditioned in the third and 13th seasons of “The Voice” but did not make it in both seasons.

Sasha is first child of Steven and Capshaw together. As a musician, Sasha performs in an indie band called Wardell with her brother Theo Spielberg.

Both Steven and Streep have three Academy Awards while Hanks has two Oscars. Spielberg and Streep were with their respective spouses, Kate Capshaw and Don Gummer, during a recent private dinner with Barack Obama and Michelle Obama at the Mermaid Room of Fiola Mare, a restaurant in Washington, D.C., The Washington Post reported.
