Filipino-American actress Hope Elizabeth “Liza” Hanley Soberano, 19, topped a list of the world’s 100 most beautiful faces list for 2017. The list is annually released by The Independent Critics, a diverse group led by TC Candler.
Tzuyu, Sarah Gadon, Nana, Jourdan Dunn, Adelaide Kane, Ju Jingyi, Golshifteh Farahani and Camilla Belle also made it to the Top 10 ranking and third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and 10th, respectively. Thylane Blondeau was only one step behind Soberano.
Including Soberano, there are four Filipinos in the list. The other three are Kathryn Bernardo at number 60, Jessy Mendiola at number 71, Nadine Lustre at number 78 and Kim Domingo at number 96.
Soberano was born in Santa Clara, California and was raised in Visalia, California by her grandparents when her Filipino father John Castillo Soberano and American mother Jacquelyn Elizabeth Hanley separated. In 2010, Liza and John moved to Manila.
Recently, Soberano celebrated Christmas away from her parents for the first time. She spent the holidays in London with her brother Justin Soberano and her rumored boyfriend Enrique Gil.
Apparently, Soberano is so beautiful that her face is all over not only TV and movie screens but also billboards and magazines. Her face can also be seen painted on the walls of Shinzo Sushi Bar, a restaurant in Sydney, Australia, based on a photo taken by Mark Nicdao.
Around 40 countries were represented in the TC Handler’s annual list of the most beautiful faces. Check the complete 2017 list here:
