On Dec. 27, Wednesday, a group of critics led by TC handler released its annual list of the most handsome faces in the world. For 2017, the list was topped by K-Pop boy band BTS member Kim Tae Hyung, 21, who is professionally known as V.
The eldest of three siblings, V was born in Seo District, Daegu, South Korea. He will turn 22 on Dec. 30, Saturday.
In 2014, V graduated from Korean Arts High School in Hongik-dong, Seongdong District, Seoul. He then enrolled at Global Cyber University in Cheonan.
In 2016, V made his acting debut by playing a supporting role in “Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth.” He and his fellow BTS member Kim Seok-jin, who is mononymously known as Jin, collaborated for the KBS2 historical drama series’s soundtrack titled “Even If I Die, It’s You.”
Since the debut of BTS in 2013, the K-pop boy band has released two Korean studio albums and two Japanese studio albums. The most recent one is “Wings,” which included V’s solo song “Stigma.”
V’s fellow BTS members Park Ji-min and Jeon Jeongguk, who respective stage names are Jimin and Jungkook, are also in the recently released list of the most handsome faces in 2017. Jimin ranked 13th while Jungkook ranked 64th.
Several other K-Pop boy band members also made it to the list including EXO member Oh Se-hun, Big Bang member Dong Young-bae, the late SHINee member Kim Jong-hyun and Kim Jong-in, whose respective stage names are Sehun, Taeyang, Jonghyun and Kai. Sehun ranked ninth while Taeyang, Jonghyun and Kai ranked 19th, 27th and 38th, respectively.
Also in the list are Jason Momoa, Armie Hammer, James Reid and William Levy ranking second, third, fourth and fifth, respectively. Watch the complete list here:
