It has been more than four years since pro-wrestler Mike Parrow, 34, came out as gay to his family and friends. But it was only recently that he revealed to the public his sexuality and his engagement to his long-time boyfriend named Morgan Cole.

Since 2010, Parrow has been competing on the independent wrestling circuit across the United States. In a recent interview with LGBTI news website Gay Star News, he said he gets more curiosity from his fellow wrestlers than hatred.

“I find, especially with a lot of wrestlers, they have a lot of questions, a lot of questions,” Parrow told the publication one day after proposing to Cole. “I’m open and honest when people ask me questions, so I’ve not necessarily had hatred towards me. More curiosity.”

Born in Troy, New York, USA, Parrow is currently based in Orlando, Florida, USA. His most recent wrestling match took place on July 12, 2017 at Gift Nightclub in Orlando at “MLW Never Say Never,” where he lost to Saieve Al Sabah.

Parrow stands at 6’4” and weighs 300 pounds. He mainly works with Evolve and Major League Wrestling and has wrestled for American Combat Wrestling, Full Impact Pro, Full Throttle Pro Wrestling, RIOT Pro Wrestling, World Wrestling Network and other various independent pro-wrestling companies.

This is not the first time a pro-wrestler came out as gay publicly. On December 27, 2017, Anthony Bowens, an openly gay pro-wrestler who has been competing on the independent wrestling circuit since 2013, took to Twitter to congratulate Parrow.

“Congrats man!” Bowens tweeted. “Hopefully you feel as free and liberated as I felt. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness and the best of luck. Let’s keep changing the world.”

On April 12, 2014, Bowens won his first title by defeating Marc Corino for the IWF Junior Heavyweight Championship at IWF 17th Annual LOUD n’ PROUD Spring Spectacular. On April 30, 2016, Bowens won his second title by defeating Matt Macintosh for the WrestlePro Championship.

There are still no details about Parrow and Cole’s wedding. Meanwhile, here is a clip featuring Parrow in a wrestling match:
