Four mixed martial artists from Baguio City, Philippines are in the fight card of ONE Championship‘s “ONE: Global Superheroes,” which will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City, Philippines on January 26, 2018. They are Eric “The Natural” Kelly, 35, Edward “The Natural” Kelly, 33, Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio, 28, and Joshua “Passion” Pacio, 22.
Edward, Pacio and Eustaquio train at Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines. Eric, who is Edward’s brother, does not exclusively belong to a training camp.
Both Edward and Eric will fight in the featherweight division. The younger Kelly will face Meas Meul, 27, of Cambodia while the older Kelly’s opponent is Rafael Nunes, 20, of Brazil.
Pacio will fight in the strawweight division with Thai fighter Pongsiri “The Smiling Assassin” Mitsatit, 21. Both Meul and Mitsatit currently hold immaculate records.
Mitsatit has 9 wins and 0 loss while Meul has 6 wins and 0 loss. On the other hand, Edward has 9 wins and 4 losses, Eric has 12 wins and 4 losses and Pacio has 10 wins and 2 losses.
Eustaquio will headline “ONE: Global Superheroes” with Kairat “The Kazakh” Akhtemov, 30, of Kazakhstan. It will be a rematch almost four months after their first match at “ONE: Total Victory” at the Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia on September 16, 2017.
“ONE: Global Superheroes” is the second event of ONE Championship in 2018. The first one is “ONE: Kings of Courage,” which will take place at the Jakarta Convention Center on January 20, 2018.
The other ONE Championship fighters from Team Lakay are Eduard “Landslide” Folayang, Honorio “The Rock” Banario, Kevin “The Silencer” Banario, Danny “The King” Kingad, Gina “Conviction” Iniong and April Osenio. Meanwhile, watch an interview with Eustaquio here:
