Yago Bryan, 25, of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, will face Hayato Suzuki, 31, of Saitama, Japan at “ONE: Global Superheroes” on January 26, 2018. They will battle it out in the strawweight division.
Bryan is a former Shooto South American Strawweight Champion who took on former ONE Strawweight World Champion Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke in his promotional debut. A Muay Thai practitioner and wrestler, the Brazilian fighter features both striking and grappling skills in his arsenal.
Suzuki is a veteran martial artist with an impressive professional record of 17-1 with two draws. Spending the majority of his career competing in his native Japan, he is known as a highly-skilled competitor with the ability to finish his foes with heavy knockout power and technical grappling skills.
Out of 17 wins, Suzuki has finished 12 of his opponents, including seven by submission and five by knockout. He is looking forward to having a redemptive win after losing to Brazil’s Alex Silva, who is now the reigning ONE Strawweight World Champion, at “ONE: Legends of the World” on November 10, 2017 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
“ONE: Global Superheroes” will also take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. It will be headlined by Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio, 28, of the Philippines and Kairat “The Kazakh” Akhtemov, 30, of Kazakhstan.
