South Korean singers Lee Jin-ki, 28, Kim Ki-bum, 26, Choi Min-ho, 26, and Lee Tae-min, 24, whose respective stage names are Onew, Key, Minho and Taemin, will perform in Japan in February 2018. The remaining members of the K-pop boy group SHINee will have concerts in Osaka in Tokyo for four days.
SHINee lost one member when Kim Jong-hyun, 27, who was professionally known as Jonghyun, committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning in December 2017. But the show must go on for Onew, Key, Minho and Taemin, who are still mourning the loss of their dear friend.
Now a quartet, SHINee will start its Japan tour titled “Shinee World The Best 2018” on February 17, 2018 at the Osaka City Dome. The group will perform there until February 18, 2018.
On February 26, 2018, Onew, Key, Minho and Taemin will perform at the Tokyo Dome. They will end the tour there on February 27, 2018 as originally scheduled.
There were discussions about postponing “Shinee World The Best 2018” considering the recent death of Jonghyun. Eventually, they decided to hold the concerts in Japan as originally scheduled.
S.M. Entertainment launched Jonghyun, Onew, Key, Minho and Taemin as the members of SHINee in 2008. The entertainment company released “The Shinee World,” the debut studio album of the contemporary R&B boy group, on October 29, 2008.
SHINee’s fifth Japanese studio album “Five” was released digitally on January 27, 2017 and physically on February 22, 2017. One of its 12 tracks is “Winter Wonderland,” which was written by Hidenori Tanaka, Erik Lidbom and Takarot.
