After a one-year hiatus, Sunoto “The Terminator” Peringkat, 32, is set to return to the ONE Championship cage. During a press conference on January 18, 2018 at the Fairmont Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia, he talked about his upcoming fight on January 20, 2018 at “ONE: Kings of Courage.”
“I just want to keep competing,” Peringkat said. “I feel that I am ready for whatever happens in the cage. I’m looking to stand up and further test my striking, so fans should expect an exciting matchup. I have been training non-stop and I feel like this is my year.”
“Whenever I step into the cage, I feel like a superstar,” the Indonesian martial arts veteran added. “The fans really help push me. I love the Indonesian fans and I want to make them proud.”
Peringkat is a former WKF Indonesia Champion. Representing IndoGym and Team Phantom, he features a style that combines elements of kickboxing, karate, and jiu-jitsu and he has a penchant for scoring spectacular finishes. Four of his six victories have ended before the final bell.
The Indonesian ONE Championship bantamweight contender is known as an aggressive warrior who never backs down from a challenge. His next bout will be against Rin Saroth, 24, of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
To be held at the Jakarta Convention Center, “ONE: Kings of Courage” will be headlined by Jing Nan “The Panda” Xiong, 30, of China and Tiffany “No Chill” Teo, 28, of Singapore for the inaugural ONE Women’s Strawweight World Championship bout. The co-main event is the ONE Flyweight World Championship title eliminator between Muhammad “The Spider” Imran, 26, of Gujar Khan, Pakistan and Stefer Rahardian, 31, of Indonesia.
