Stefer Rahardian, 31, of Indonesia will put his undefeated professional MMA record on the line against Muhammad Imran, 26, of Pakistan in a ONE Flyweight World Championship title eliminator. On January 20, 2018, they will co-headline “ONE Kings of Courage” at the Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia.
“Every day I am training, working on improving my skills and becoming a better martial artist,” Rahardian stated during a press conference on January 18, 2018 at the Fairmont Hotel in Jakarta. “I am working very hard so that I can win this bout and continue to make my friends, my family, and my country proud. This is an important contest for me, to prove I am ready for the bigger bouts, and that I am ready for the next level of competition.”
In August 2016, Rahardian impressed in his ONE Championship debut by winning the “ONE: Titles and Titans” Flyweight Tournament. The top Indonesian martial arts talent finished both Yotha Hutagalung and Hendrick Wijaya by first round rear-naked choke to become the tournament winner.
Since then, Rahardian has blazed a trail in the ONE Championship cage, winning three additional bouts to cap an amazing run as a professional. In his last outing, he outperformed Cambodia’s Sim Bunsrun to win by impressive first-round submission.
With the match between Rahardian and Imran as the co-main event, “ONE: Kings of Courage” will be headlined by Jing Nan “The Panda” Xiong, 30, of China and Tiffany “No Chill” Teo, 28, of Singapore. The winner of the main event will be the first ever ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion.
