The featherweight bout between ONE Championship athletes Edward “The Ferocious” Kelly, 33, of Baguio City, Philippines and Meas Meu, 27, of Kampong Thom, Cambodia was the shortest one among the 11 matches at “ONE: Global Superheroes” on January 26, 2018 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. It did not even last for half a minute.

It was also a redemptive loss for Kelly who came from a loss to Emilio Urrutia of the United States at “ONE: Quest for Greatness” on August 18, 2017. At “ONE: Global Superheroes,” the Filipino mixed martial artist knocked out Meul at 0:21 of Round 1.

Kelly delivered a sensational first-round knockout of Meul by dropping him with a high kick. At the opening bell, the fighter from Baguio City engaged the fighter from Kampong Thom at the center of the cage and connected on a quick three-punch combination before delivering the final blow that sent the Cambodian MMA fighter face first into the canvas.

Winning at “ONE: Global Superheroes,” Kelly improved his record to 10 wins and 4 losses. On the other hand, Meul now has 5 wins and 1 loss.

Kelly’s fellow Team Lakay fighters Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio and Joshua “The Passion” Pacio also emerged victorious at “ONE: Global Superheroes.” In the main event, Eustaquio clinched the ONE Interim Flyweight World Championship, edging Kairat “The Kazakh” Akhmetov by unanimous decision in an exhilarating five-round title tilt.

In the co-main event, Pacio unveiled an improved grappling game, submitting China’s Lan Ming Qiang via rear naked choke in the very first round. Pacio started off with his world-class wushu, operating from range with fast and powerful kicks.
