Burmese mixed martial artists Bozhena Antoniyar and Shwe Sin were the first fighters to enter the ONE Championship cage at “ONE: Quest for Gold” at the Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar on February 23, 2018. They battled it out in the atomweight division.

Antoniyar is a former two-time Myanmar National Boxing Champion. She made quick work of Sin in a great performance to start her ONE Championship career.

At the opening bell, Antoniyar wasted no time in bringing Sin down to the mat swiftly and finished things off with ground-and-pound to score the fastest knockout in ONE Championship’s women’s atomweight history. Referee Kemp Cheng ended the fight at 0:24 minutes of Round 1.

In the post-fight interview inside the cage, Mitch Chilson could not help but praise Antoniyar’s amazing finish. When asked how she was feeling, she said through a translator that she was very happy.

Chilson also asked Antoniyar what she wanted next. The Burmese MMA fighter simply said she wanted to get to the top.

To get to the top, Antoniyar will have to face several lady fighters of ONE Championship including Mei Yamaguchi. To be on top, the Burmese fighter will have to dethrone ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angela “Unstoppable” Lee.

There were only two bouts on the preliminary card at “ONE: Quest for Gold.” The bout between Antoniyar and Sin was followed by another atomweight bout between Priscilla Hertati Lumban “Thathie” Gaol of Indonesia and Krisna “Phoenix” Limbaga of the Philippines.

Gaol submitted Limbaga via armbar at 4:05 of Round 1. Cheng was also the referee.
