ONE Championship fighter Li Kai Wen, 22, of China only needed 43 seconds to finish his bout in the first round at “ONE: Quest for Gold” against Roel “Akiyama” Rosauro, 29, of the Philippines. The two battled it out in the featherweight division at the Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar on February 23, 2018.

Referee Yuji Shimada stopped the match before it clocked at one minute. Li submitted Rosauro via guillotine choke.

By beating Rosauro, Li improved his professional mixed martial arts record to 7 wins and 4 losses. Rosauro now has 3 wins and 2 losses.

“ONE: Quest for Gold” marked Rosauro’s ONE Championship debut. Before joining the promotion, he fought four bouts under Ground and Pound Championship (GPC) and Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC), winning three.

On the other hand, Li won one bout and lost two bouts under Chinese Kung Fu Championships (CKFC) before joining ONE Championship. His ONE Championship debut took place on December 19, 2014 at “ONE: Dynasty of Champions” at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium in Beijing, China where he defeated his fellow Chinese fighter Nannan He.

Since joining ONE Championship, Li fought eight bouts including his match against He. The only ONE Championship fighters who defeated Li so far are Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen, who is now the promotion’s featherweight and lightweight champion, and Ahmed Mujtaba.

Under CKFC, Li lost to Akenbieke Ayijake and Ruochao Sun. Aside from He and Rosauro, Li also defeated Jietebusibai Haolan, Wang Ya Wei, Nathan Ng, Yang Sen and and Keanu Subba.
